I think it will be worth the experience and the kids will certainly enjoy it. There are special abridged versions of the classic plays for the younger ones and students to enjoy. Another way to enjoy some family fun in Chicago is at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. The museum is an informative curation of Illinois’ natural history and ecology. It allows you to lean against a sturdy, state-of-the-art window and take in downward-facing views.

I am not sure if this would be enjoyable for kids that are very young (perhaps no fun for toddlers here). There are several options to choose from, but I think the live tornado may be something the kids will enjoy experiencing. The museum houses 35,000 artifacts and has exhibits spanning over 14 acres. I think the kids will especially enjoy the Planet Explorer area which has a hands-on approach to space exploration and will keep the little ones engaged. Get an incredible view of the moon through the aperture telescope, enjoy sky shows and a lot more, at the Adler Planetarium.
You can grab a Shoreline cruise from Michigan Avenue Bridge, Navy Pier's Polk Bros Park and Lake tours from Navy Pier. Navy Pier is one of Chicago’s most popular attractions for good reason — it’s just plain awesome! The 150-foot Centennial Wheel towers above Pier Park theme park for an uplifting ride. Besides this famous Ferris wheel, fun attractions include a carousel, climbing walls, remote control boats, the Pepsi Wave Swinger, and the Light Tower.
